Hello Everyone,
Please continue to do whatever you were doing last week with your child. It may look different for many families as not only is your child home but now, you may be working from home as well. The intent of the many websites posted here last week were to give you extra resources at home as a means of review or even diversion for your child. Our School Board has also created a website that has all subjects including a tab called Well-Being for you to access as well. You may have already received this email via School Messenger or found it on The Hive on our school's website. I am reposting it here as well.

As we move forward, the expectation continues to be for your child to feel secure at home and is adjusting to these large amounts of time inside and at home. There is no expectation that there is any new learning happening or that anything is going to be assessed during this time. Take everyday moments for what they are and enjoy each other's company.  Some examples could be:

  • Read a book and imagine how you could change the ending of the story or write your family member in as a character in the story.
  • Draw a lovely picture and proudly display it somewhere or mail it off to someone who you not able to visit right now.
  • Make a recipe together and talk about the math you see.
  • Carry on an everyday conversation in French instead of your first language.
Here are some French resources from Madame Marta to act as a review.
