Hello Everyone,
We have begun our Lenten journey!

Your child received a blue double sided gratitude reflection calendar in their school agendas last Wednesday to follow daily. The recurring theme of water in the calendar fits in nicely with the presentation your child saw on Ash Wednesday. The awareness and the proceeds from the activities in this calendar will assist an organization called Water First which is an organization that helps address clean water challenges in Indigenous communities in Ontario through education and training.

In Math last week we explored a topic that many students already had strong connections to--PROBABILITY.  Confidence with the math vocabulary came very easy for many students because of the connections to real life events and outcomes.

We are coming to an end to our QAR unit. Students are providing good evidence to their written answers to questions.

Our class learned about some interesting concepts about magnetic force in Science. Ask your child to explain what the word repel and attract  mean.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER......

• All French Pathway forms are due Monday March 2nd.
• We will be commencing our Family Life unit this week. A note was sent home last Monday to inform you.
• The new pizza and Subway lunch orders start this Tuesday March 3rd. Every first Tuesday of the month is Subway. The rest of the Tuesdays are pizza.
• Our class has library this Wednesday. Please ensure all books are returned to school.
• As per usual, homework and spelling books are going home on Monday and are expected at school, homework completed and assessments reviewed and signed by Friday.
• We have run out of Kleenex again. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
