Hello everyone,
Last blog of the year!
Take a look at all the activities you could ask your child to do with you over the next 2 weeks of holidays just in case your child says there is nothing to do and turns to you for advice.....

 Multiplication and division fact families

Dice are needed for this game to create multiplication and division sentences.

 Practise using the multiplication chart.

 Practise skip counting.

Practise spelling the word wall words we've done so far.

Our class made slime thanks to some classroom experts on slime making. This was a great real life example of following instructions to make something. We encountered 1 little "glitch." The slime was a little too sticky for me to feel comfortable to send home but........you can make it at home yourselves. Your child has seen it already so they can walk you through the steps.
Materials: Glue (we used about a cup per group)
                 Glitter
Foaming shaving cream (about 3 squirts per bowl)
Activator (we used liquid Tide detergent)
                 Bowl
                 Wooden spoon
 1. Pour the glue in a bowl.
 2. Shake as much sprinkles as you want to see in your slime.
 3. Put white foamy shaving cream in with the sprinkles and the glue.
 4. Stir everything together will a sturdy spoon. (We used a plastic spoon which broke for most of us)

5. Add a teaspoon at a time of an activator and stir again.
6. Keep adding a teaspoon of an activator and keep stirring until you have the right texture.
This easy activity is so quick to do but will give you and your child hours of enjoyment.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER.......
I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year. See you all back on January 6th.
